Lucky Bay Terminal design approved
Development Approval has been granted for Sea SA’s proposed energy efficient ferry terminal at Lucky Bay incorporating passenger transit lounge and café, disabled access, rest rooms, office space and limited accommodation.
A building application will now be lodged with the Franklin Harbour District Council for the two story design which features water tanks, wind turbines and solar collectors and will be complemented by over $180,000 worth of native landscaping.
A Development Application for a new terminal on the Wallaroo side of the Gulf is currently with Planning South Australia, with an outcome expected this month. Once designs have been approved and building approvals granted, construction is expected to take approximately 12 months to complete.
