Customers travelling in standard cars can now book their Spencer Gulf ferries on-line - and save time and money.

 

"Customers who book on-line receive $2 off a standard car fare and $1 off passenger fares.  They also enjoy the convenience of being able to book at any time, outside of normal office hours," Sea SA Office Manager, Sue Cassidy, explained.

 

"This can add up to real savings, especially for regular travellers.  For example, a return fare for two adults travelling by car who book by calling our ticketing office is currently $360.  A web fare, which gives them the flexibility of booking at their convenience and avoiding phone queues during busy periods is $352.  It they make just five trips they are already $40 better off," Sue said.

 

Sea SA offers on-line bookings to all standard vehicles - ie. cars up to 5 metres in length and no higher than 2.1 metres.

 

"Due to the myriad of discrepancies in sizes of other vehicles, custom quotes and booking must still be obtained by calling a reservations consultant for people travelling in non-standard size cars, or with motorbikes, trailers, campervans, caravans, motor-homes, buses or trucks," Sue added.
