Sea SA ferries are always designed to be as energy efficient as possible. This is achieved with the help of on board solar panels and wind generators used for emergency battery backup. Sewage treatment plants are dolphin friendly & conform to world environmental & safety standards (WWT 5 BIOPUR).
Sea SA has been recognised by the Australian Marine Environment Protection Association (AUSMEPA) for its potential to reduce more than 25,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions in the environment annually by taking cars off the roads.
